PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

 January 2011

I am honoured to bring greetings from the Council of Catholic School Superintendents of Alberta.  The work that we do is important to ensure devotion to our values and mission of serving Catholic education.

We live and share our faith so students and families can be mentored in building church in our communities.  Our organization is devoted to influencing the development and direction of Catholic education in Alberta.  During this time of potential budget changes and a rewriting of the School Act, we need to continue to reinforce to the public that Catholic education contributes to the building of community in our province.

Superintendents, school employees, and parents are entrusted to be advocates for Catholic education.  As we contemplate and make decisions to influence and shape Catholic education, know that our work is rewarding in itself and an answer to God’s call.

I hope you have a great year and feel enlightened to continue the mission of Jesus.  As St. Matthew wrote, “Let your light shine”, “Laisse briller ta lumier”.
